Grade Select and standard
Select one face free of sapwood, the other face may contain sapwood providing it does not exceed 1/4 of the width of the sleeper at either rail seat or 1/2 the width elsewhere. Standard Sapwood is admitted without limit. *Sapwood on the Mora species are as durable as the heartwood, only there is a slight color diffration that disappears with aging.
